Will Marshall is Co-Founder & CEO of Planet Labs PBC. Will is a scientist-turned-entrepreneur with extensive experience building and leading teams in the technology space, at NASA and now at Planet, having grown the team from the garage to a company of over 600 people. He oversees the vision, product and business strategy - carrying out Planet’s mission, as written into the Public Benefit Corporation charter, to accelerate humanity toward a more sustainable and secure world.
Will was recognized as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum and serves on the board of the Open Lunar Foundation.
Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer
Robbie Schingler is the Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) of Planet. As CSO, Robbie leads the company’s long-term strategic trajectory and oversees Planet’s Space Systems, Corporate Development and special projects functions including the transition of Planet into a publicly-traded Public Benefit Corporation ($PL). He spearheaded Planet’s acquisition of BlackBridge in 2015, Boundless in 2019 and VanderSat in 2021, was Managing Director of Planet Europe from 2016-2017 and serves on board for Planet Federal and Planet. Prior to Planet, Robbie spent 9 years at NASA, where he helped build the Small Spacecraft Office at NASA Ames and Chief of Staff for the Office of the Chief Technologies at NASA Headquarters. He received an MBA from Georgetown University, a MS in Space Studies.
Chief Legal Officer
Amy most recently served as Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Mozilla, leading the Legal, Policy and Security functions at an organization devoted to building a better internet and delivering the FIrefox browser used by hundreds of millions of people around the world. During Amy's tenure, Mozilla fought for Net Neutrality in the United States and globally, including as the lead plaintiff in Mozilla v. FCC, seeking to overturn the rollback of federal net neutrality protections. Prior to Mozilla, Amy was Vice President, Legal and Deputy General Counsel at Twitter, Inc. Amy joined Twitter in 2012 as Twitter’s first lawyer focused on litigation, building out the function and supporting the company as both the platform and the employee base grew in the U.S. and internationally, through its IPO and beyond. Her role expanded over time to include oversight of Twitter's product counseling, regulatory, privacy, employment legal, global litigation, and law enforcement legal response functions. During her tenure, she worked on legal matters in more than twenty countries.
